Grilled Pork Chops with Pineapple Salsa

Hayo! Pineapples are on sale!

And what better way to welcome Spring Break than with a little taste of the tropics?

Pineapple can be found in so many delicious things: cocktails, smoothies, cakes, ice cream, muffins, pie, tacos, kebabs, curry…but tonight, I’m using this amazing tropical fruit to make a sweet and spicy salsa for some grilled pork chops. I don’t know what it is when it comes to pork and pineapple, but I just can’t get enough!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Pork chops
  • Pineapple
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Jalapeno
  • Garlic clove
  • Chili powder
  • Salt and pepper

To make the salsa, start off by dicing the pineapple, ¼ of the onion, a tomato, and a jalapeno.

When you’re ready to make dinner, lightly season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Warm up a grill pan (or grill) to medium-high heat.

Grill the pork chops for 3 minutes on each side.

Serve immediately with the pineapple salsa over the top.

This pineapple salsa is a great way to spice up grilled pork chops without much extra hassle or effort. It’s healthy, simple, and guaranteed to get your taste buds singing.

I’d highly recommend serving it with some rice and a little side of honey glazed carrots.

Until next time, take care.
